Green Applesauce

In times like these, it is particularly important to stay fit and healthy. But it’s just as important to stay in a good mood. So today I have a recipe for you that I “invented” when I was feeling down and drained. I didn’t even like pasta anymore, neither did chocolate… An unmistakable sign of illness! My body was craving something fresh and that’s how the “Green Applesauce” was born:

You need:

  • 50-100ml of water
  • 2-3 fresh apples
  • 1-2 tablespoons of flaxseed
  • 4-5 tablets of spirulina

You throw all this in a blender, first the water, then the chopped, unpeeled apples, then the flaxseed and finally the spirulina. The less water and the more flaxseed you put in, the thicker the consistency will be. All this is mixed properly until you can see the beautiful blue-green color (see above).

What is all this good for? The apples and flaxseed help the intestines (important for the immune system), Spirulina gives a chlorophyll and vital substance kick.

The product tastes… interesting and surprisingly delicious! And has been good for me.
